Productivity and Gene Haas Foundation Present $35,000 Grant Check to Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI

Congratulations to Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI for being awarded a BIG check for $35,000 from the Gene Haas Foundation!  CVTC held their Annual Manufacturing Show/Open House on March 3, with over 1,700 students, parents and teachers attending the 4-hour event, showcasing their programs and sharing what Manufacturing Careers are all about to the public.
 
Local Manufacturing companies represented at the Open House included CVTC Advisory Board Member Kenny Skar of Vincent Tool Technologies; Advanced Laser Machining, Pro-Cise Machine & Tool, Parker Hannifin, Five Star Plastics, Wissota Tool & Machine, Riverside Machine & Engineering, Curt Manufacturing and many others.

CVTC has an excellent Machine Tool Technology Program with has over 30 Haas machines and are one of the first HTEC’s (Haas Technical Education Center), providing Machining, Robotics and Engineering Degrees at their Eau Claire Campus.   
 
The money will be used to help provide Scholarships for students in their Machine Tool Technology programs.
 
The Gene Haas Foundation awards grants to High Schools and Post-Secondary Schools to assist with their programs, including scholarships for students pursuing Manufacturing Careers.  Schools can find out more about potential opportunities and apply for Scholarship Grants at www.ghaasfoundation.org.
