AddUp was established on April 1st, 2016 when two industrial groups, Fives and Michelin, decided to create a major global player in metal 3D printing. The joint venture uses its experience and unique knowledge to benefit clients by developing and marketing industrial machines and production systems based on metal additive manufacturing (AM) technology. The AddUp Group offer includes FormUp® Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and BeAM Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technologies. The company also provides training and consulting services to assist customers with adopting these innovative AM processes. With its majority stake acquisition in Poly-Shape, AddUp offers its customers unique access to multiple manufacturers, technologies, materials and application platforms to help them determine the best technological solution for their parts production needs.
