Westminster High School Receives BIG Check from Gene Haas Foundation!

A BIG check from the Gene Haas Foundation in the amount of $5,000 for Scholarships was presented to Catherine Sondgerath (left), Technology Education Instructor at Westminster High School and some of her students by Mark Smith (not pictured) of Productivity Inc – Denver the Local Haas Factory Outlet.

The scholarships will be known as the Gene Haas Scholarships, named after the Gene Haas Foundation who has been offering scholarships to high schools, community colleges and special educational programs that help build skills within the machining industry.

Westminster High School is home to approximately 2,500 students in the Northern Denver metro area and offers students a wide variety of courses, including metalworking, construction, information technology, computer repair and engineering design. Students graduating from WHS may go on to Colorado State University – CU Boulder or Front Range Community College.
