Productivity, Inc

Productivity’s experienced application engineers provide three main levels of production services:
  1. Process Development
Straight hourly charge for services, billed against the customer's purchase order.
  2. Production Assistance
For less complex or partial turnkeys, we will quote and provide our services based on agreed guidelines. This usually does not involve SPC or capability studies.
  3. Complete Production Ready
This service refers to complete turnkey packages that can include automation, capability studies, special layouts, SPC, and a predetermined run-off requirement. When a production ready project requires the combining of multiple components such as robots and conveyors with machine tools to accommodate automatic operation, Productivity offers system integration and project management services.
  4. Installation
The setup of the machine tools and all related components are often done in Productivity's showroom or in an adjacent facility. A complete run-off can be performed for the customer's approval before the system is shipped. In this way, the system can begin making money as soon as it is installed on the customer's floor, ready for production.

Complete machine integration is done on our floor, working with the customer to perfect the process on his own parts prior to plant installation.

Case Studies
Case study 1

A medical parts manufacturer in the Minneapolis area was running a machining process in a challenging material. The surface finish requirement and part tolerance were difficult, the machine operator was very busy with part handling, checking, cleaning, inspection, etc. We added a Robo-Flex automatic part loader to this cell to automate the part handling and machine load unload function, and a servo-controlled door operator for high speed door operation. The production rate went from 100 parts per 8 hour shift to 150 parts per 8 hour shift, a 50% increase! While this gain in productivity seems extreme it has been usual to see a 30% increase in part output for machines that have had a Robo-Flex automatic pallet loader installed on them.

Case study 2

A small start-up company needed to quickly ramp-up to a high volume of production quickly  and didn't want to add production staff.  We provided a Robo-Flex Automatic Part Loader with a 12 pallet transfer system. The system allowed this manufacturer to load about 8 hours of production and allow this machine to run without hiring operators for the full time part load unload task. Payback of this system is short because it this customer will avoid hiring two machine operators.
